This has been a long and hard winter. I put my conifers out in the shed at the end of November as the yemperatures started plummeting and the snows came. But by the middle of December, it was apparent they would have to be moved. So after a trudge through knee deep snow to move them into the garage, where at least they could receive some periodic watering.
Today, I took the plantsinto the house long enough to give them a thorough watering, apply some Green Gragon fertilizer, measure them and photograph them before returning them to the bench outside. Nighttime temps are supposed to stay above 25 degrees F and usually above freezing for the next week or two so the trees should start coming out of dormancy soon.
